Info Mosaik-Tagesfahrt

Zu den Mosaiken Westdeutschlands führt uns die Tagesreise per Bus von Bad Dürkheim aus zum 1. Stopp, der legendären Vogeltreppe in Pirmasens, die von Isidora Paz-Lopez realisiert wurde mit Hilfe von über 100 Mosaizisten aus aller Welt.
Danach geht es nach Mettlach. Dort war das Erlebniszentrum Alte Abtei der Firma Villeroy & Boch geplant, welches leider wegen Renovierungsarbeiten geschlossen ist. Jedoch gibt es noch weitere interessante Mosaik-Orte in Mettlach, wie z.B. die Lutwinuskirche, die Johanniskapelle und die Parkanlage von Villeroy & Boch.

Für ein Mittagessen kehren wir in ein Gasthaus vor Ort ein.

Von dort geht es weiter nach Trier ins Rheinische Landesmuseum, das reich an antiken Mosaiken ist. Trier – das zweite Rom, birgt reiche Schätze, wie uns die Führung sicher erklären wird.

Die Kosten für Domo-Mitglieder betragen 70,00 €, für Mitglieder einer anderen Mosaik-Organisation 80,00 € und sonstige Teilnehmer 90,00 €.

Darin enthalten sind die Fahrtkosten, alle Eintritte und die Verpflegung.
Auch bei dieser Aktion sind die dann aktuellen Corona-Regelungen zu berücksichtigen. Hierzu informieren wir die Teilnehmer zeitnah.

Info Mosaic Tour

The day trip by bus from Bad Dürkheim to the mosaics of Western Germany takes us to the first stop, the legendary Vogeltreppe in Pirmasens, which was realised by Isidora Paz-Lopez with the help of over 100 mosaicists from all over the world.

Then it's off to Mettlach. There we planned to visit the Old Abbey Experience Centre of the Villeroy & Boch company, which is unfortunately closed for renovation work. However, there are other interesting mosaic sites in Mettlach, such as the Lutwinus Church, St. John's Chapel and the Villeroy & Boch park.

For lunch we stop at a local inn.

From there we continue to Trier to the Rhineland Regional Museum, which is rich in ancient mosaics. Trier - the second Rome, holds rich treasures, as the guided tour will surely explain to us.

Departure:
Saturday, 28.05.2022, Wurstmarkt car park in Bad Dürkheim.
Time: 7.30 a.m.

Return to Bad Dürkheim approx. 7.00 p.m.

The costs for Domo members are 70,00 €, for members of another Mosaic organisation 80,00 € and other participants 90,00 €.
